Best AI Ad Generators in 2026, Reviewed by Someone Who Ships Ads
By Atharv Sankpal
There is no best AI ad generator, only the right one for the ad you are trying to make. I make AI video ads for ecommerce brands, I pay for several of these, and the honest pattern is that each tool is excellent at one job and mediocre at the rest. Here is what I reach for and when. Pricing moves constantly, so treat every figure as an August 2026 snapshot and check the checkout page.
The short answer
| Tool | Best at | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Arcads | UGC-style ad actors in volume, strong lip-sync | No public pricing, charges per finished video, rounds up to a minute |
| HeyGen | Spokesperson video, explainers, translating one video into many languages | Reads polished, which is slightly wrong for native UGC |
| Creatify | Turning a product URL or feed into quick ad variations | Output can feel templated without heavy editing |
| MakeUGC | Cheaper creator-style clips at volume | Actor range and realism vary by scene |
| Veo-style generative video | Scenes, motion and concepts a talking head cannot do | Control and consistency are the hard part |
| Runway / CapCut | Editing, cleanup and captions after generation | Not ad strategy, just post-production |
How to pick one
- Making UGC-style ads for Meta and TikTok: an ad-actor tool like Arcads, and expect to edit heavily.
- Making an explainer or a multilingual spokesperson video: HeyGen.
- Running a large catalogue and needing many product variants: a feed-driven tool like Creatify.
- Needing a visual scene, a transformation or something surreal: generative video, not avatars.
- Needing ads that convert rather than clips that render: a person, not a subscription.
The comparison nobody publishes honestly
Every AI ad generator sells the same promise: ads in minutes. What they deliver is footage in minutes. None of them know your buyer, your margin, your objections or what your competitors already said last month. So they produce technically clean video with a forgettable hook, and forgettable hooks lose money at any production speed. I go deeper on two of the biggest in HeyGen vs Arcads and in my Arcads review.
What a good workflow looks like
Write the angle. Write ten hooks. Script it so it sounds spoken. Generate the delivery in whichever tool fits. Edit hard: captions, cuts, real product footage, sound. Then test the hooks against each other. The tool occupies one step out of six, which is why tool choice matters far less than the process around it. The full version is in how to create AI UGC ads.
Are AI ad generators worth paying for?
Yes, if you are producing enough volume to justify the subscription and you already know your angles. No, if you are buying one hoping it will tell you what to say. Add up what you would spend on two or three tools plus your own hours before deciding it is the cheap option.
Can I just hire someone instead?
That is what I do for brands. I make every kind of AI ad an ecommerce brand needs, from AI UGC to full video ad production, so you get finished creative instead of another login.
Want the ads made for you?
I make AI video ads for ecommerce brands end to end: the angle, the hook, the script, the actor and the edit. Not a tool to learn, a person who ships creative you can run.
